A Heart Decoration For Valentines I Saw At A Store

A Valentine's Heart Decoration I Saw At A Window Display

My last post titled, Inspired, Rooted & Ready, I wrote about the pieces of the puzzle coming together. Besides this blog being my catharsis for change, it is also a behind the scenes look at how I perservered in my struggles these last two years.

I have found collaberation with two of my cousins in Colombia on my Spanish blog. That is, after all, where my roots are. [continue reading…]

Mosaic in Lobby of A Condo Called Mosaic In South Beach

Mosaic In Lobby of A Condo in South Beach Called Mosaic

It’s been just over 21 days since my last post bringing in the new year. They say it takes 21 days to develop a new habit. Luckily, I have the habit of eating well and exercising, so I didn’t have to put those on my resolution list.

For me, it is now creating a structure and more order with all the new opportunities that have opened up for me. It’s continuing to put together the pieces of the puzzle like the picture of the mosaic in this post.Hopefully, one day it will all of sudden take shape. I trust it now much more. Inspiration from John Lennon

by Blanca Stella on December 31, 2009

A twitter friend, @offgrid linked this video tonight. The lyrics gave me inspiration tonight and I love how music uplifts the soul. It’s a good way to end the year.  Here are the words I got from a music & lyrics website. [continue reading…]

Is Inner Peace Elusive?

by Blanca Stella on December 28, 2009

Please enable Javascript and Flash to view this Flash video.

I took these pictures two weeks ago on my way to visit my parents. It is a view of Biscayne Bay with Coconut Grove in the backdrop. The view driving from the car was some beautiful clouds with the sunset peaking behind. This part of the beach is also under renovation.  Recently the city cut down the Australian Pines along the stretch of the Rickenbacker Causeway. According to a Miami Herald article, the trees drive out native foliage and make nesting difficult for rare species. [continue reading…]

A Christmas Wreath Made By My Friend Daniela

2009 has been an interesting chaotic year. As 2010 approaches, I look back at all the challenges of this year and observe that in the midst of them, many opportunities came my way. I had set an intention two years ago to follow my dreams. While I am not exactly where I really want to be, I have made great strides in getting closer to them.

I am grateful for the many new connections I have made through Social Media all over the world and the abundance of new found friends I have made through local tweetups. I can honestly say that  it has been an experience of expanding my universe in a way that I never expected. By sharing, listening to others stories and making humor of life, going through the process of change has made it easier. [continue reading…]

Inner Peace Prevails Although My Milkweed Died

by Blanca Stella on December 9, 2009

milkweed diedI had to pull from the roots and throw out two of my  milkweed plants two weeks ago. They were infiltrated with a huge amount of bugs. The leaves were yellow and mucky and a mold was starting to form on the stems. In this past month, I haven’t taken much time to look at my milkweed. Normally I scruff them off with my hand when I see a slight infiltration. You can’t put pesticide on milkweeds because the caterpillars will die.

When I went out to look at them, there was no hope. I had to yank them off from the roots. I cut one of them down to the bottom near the roots. Hopefully, it can come back. If not, a new one can be planted and new growth will occur. [continue reading…]

Inner Peace & An Active Mind Creates

Blue & Pink Clouds I Took On My Way To My Guitar Class Recently

Blue & Pink Clouds I Took On My Way To My Guitar Class Recently

Today I was sorting out all my real estate files. I thought for a moment: “What a waste.” Meaning, a waste of having all this knowledge and finally putting it to rest. I know real estate deals are closing, but I had made a decision last year to attempt to work with the bank listings. It didn’t work out. So I started thinking of all the mistakes I made. “Why did I put so much effort on a fruitless endeavor?”, I thought to myself again.

But then the thought hit me that in all my efforts of gaining knowledge, my mind stayed active. I didn’t allow the challenges to let me down. Ok, I have had many let downs this year on the surface. But all those let downs made me stronger. For some reason, I lived them. My rational mind says it was a failure. But my gut says, it was part of the process of enduring and gaining so much more beneath the surface. [continue reading…]

Behind The Scenes & Looking For A Chrysallis

by Blanca Stella on November 3, 2009

I haven’t had much time to upload any videos. I have so much footage from my butterfly garden that I would like to share.  All day today, I was editing video for my brother’s dermatology site and stumbled upon this footage mixed in with his videos. I took some time to edit it because it was timely.

Better Reality Around The Corner

by Blanca Stella on October 31, 2009

My Computer Monitor's Multiple Open Windows

My Computer Monitor's Multiple Open Windows

I took this photo last month when my computer was going haywire. All these windows popped up in a few seconds. I am going to use the analogy of all these pop ups as all the possibilities in one’s life. After all, in this environment of so much change and uncertainty, we have to keep on looking at new possibilities.

Somehow, I have been challenged by many situations in these past years. I decide to take every punch in life and keep on seeking better ways to create my life, or better yet…better ways to live my life. Our eyes are windows to being able to see beyond the punches. It is not easy when you are confronted with challenges. But isn’t it those very challenges that propel you to move beyond the current reality? [continue reading…]
