  • Wise Words From Old Man Moon

I took these pictures on my official beach week  two weeks ago. Since then I have been in the “grind” working, as they say. Things are looking up. I finally got inspired to put this little video together from the pictures I took at Sunrise. Hope you enjoy.

I should do a post: “A Day in The Life of A Realtor.” Maybe next week. Too much drama to get into right now. At least these last  two weeks, I started showing property to more solid buyers. I have put most of my attention to getting bank listings and just found out that the only asset manager connection that I have will not be giving listings until November.  I can’t wait until November! I’ll sink into the black lagoon.

So I  applied again for other jobs this week as a back up plan.  I have been trying to get a job in the last couple of months while I was focused on the asset managers. All I have gotten is brick walls. Patience is definitely a virtue and I think I have mastered it in these months. (more…)

Since I am talking about my brother being bipolar, I want to first say that I love him very much. I don’t know all the medical terminology or current ways of dealing with bi-polar. I just know what it is to have a family member live with this. I suppose one day he will write his story. He is only one year apart from me and is turning 50 next week. So the story is long and also inspiring.

His life took a bad turn while he was in high school during the ’80’s when he indulged in many kinds of drugs. After many years of treatment in hospitals, he found a new path through meditating. He was able to be without Lithium for the past  20 years. It was a remarkable turnaround with no drugs or alcohol. He became a total vegetarian and even stopped dating for many years. He almost lived like a monk, except that he is not a recluse. On the contrary, he is very extroverted and is Mr. Communicator and knows many people in the community and in all kinds of social media. • Keeping Calm During New Challenges

sparky-april-19I just took this picture a few minutes ago after yelling at Sparky to stop  chewing on his bandage. Since my last post I have had a few stressful incidents. On Thursday, Sparky tore off his whole splint while I was away for a few hours. I bandaged it in a hurry hoping that the last 10 days of healing were not a waste.

After taking him to the vet the next day, he gave him a sedative to help this out of control behavior. He said to use it as needed. As soon as we got home, Sparky went after the bandage. I popped the sedative right away, though his stomach couldn’t handle it.  Things have been calm for the past three days until a few minutes ago when I snapped this picture. (more…)

  • A Rainy Vacation Day…The Towel Helped

towel-rain-at-the-beachI googled where the term “throw in the towel” came from.  On Wiki answers it says:  “…an image from the sport of boxing, to give up the struggle to quit the fight.” In Urban Dictionary it also says that it comes from boxing: “When a boxer is too beat up to continue, his coach throws a towel into the ring to signal that the fight is over.”

It also says here that it could be in origin of throwing up the white flag, which means surrender. I had been very busy laying much groundwork for two businesses, my REO business. It is still realty work, but different. And also I have been attempting to publish a new book. I am still not fully established in either business even though a lot of legwork has been done. When I decided to take the towel to the beach  and relax, I ended up finding two new clients to work with.
