  • Sparky at the Veterinarian For a Cast

    Sparky Before Cast
    Sparky Before Cast

I know I said I would post the next day, but hey, I am still on vacation. I have been good to myself by not pressuring myself to do anything in particular. I have allowed this week to go with the flow.

On Tuesday, I had an appointment with a third veternarian as a final attempt to heal Sparky’s wound. The official diagnosis is Acral Lick Granuloma. He had a small wound that became a very big wound about six inches long.  As you can see from the picture on the left here, he is not too thrilled that I am going to leave him here all day.

It becomes a compulsive licking that they end up going to the bone. I have been very distressed about it and finally with the help of this veternarian, he put on a cast. It is a temporary cast to see if he will not chew it off. They are dermotological specialist. I am thankful that my brother referred me to them. (more…)

  • More Friends that I Love..and A Bride to Be

The Bride to Be and Future Husbandangie-and-group
After going to the beach at Matheson Hammock on Monday, I went to a bridal shower for
Alejandra. I got there about two hours  late because I was not thinking of time while at the beach. Timelessness is a good thing especially when on vacation. Better late than never.

One of my best friend’s was giving the shower. I made the intention that Angie, who is single have a shower within 18 months. So when the picture on the right was taken, we had just put the intention that Angie open her heart to receive someone to love her. I love Angie and she is a beautiful girl who has alot to give. Good luck Ale and Laz. I wish you all the love in the world.

  • Spending Time with People I Love

I had put the intention that I wanted to be with people I love this week. With all my time focused almost 24/7 in the past months restructuring my real estate business, I have had hardly any time to spend with friends. I do see my immediate family, but that is about it. After the Triathlon I went to see my goddaughter who is a delicious five year old ball of energy. I spend the day at the pool with her and her father. And it turns out that her father wants to buy a property. And tonight I got a call from someone that I hadn’t heard from in a long time and said he wanted to buy a commercial property. Cristian said I should take vacations more often!

I have been mainly focused on getting bank listings because of my fear of having other deals fall apart like they have in the past two years because of overextended mortgages(potential short sales) or lack of financing. It seems that the foreclosures are the ones that are selling quicker. (more…)

  • Matheson Hammock Beach 2nd Day of Vacation

matheson-hammockSince I am in this timeless mode, I woke up pretty late and had a slow start. I was reading in the paper that it was going to get chilly the next day. It was about 93 degrees and beautiful sunshine, so I figured I better go or else I might miss the opportunity. The problem was that I was already around 1:00PM and I had to get my son at the bus stop at 3:00PM. This would not have given me much time to relax at the beach. Here I was stressing and about to text my son to walk home.

But instead I decided to wait, pick him up at school and take him back home. Good thing I did because he was very sore from working out and wasn’t feeling too good. By then it was past 3:00PM and I decided to go to Matheson Hammock which is in Coral Gables about 10 minutes away. It is a small beach that looks like a circular pool.  It is closed in by Coral Rock and the salt water comes in from Biscayne Bay.  Since it is shallow, it is a beach that many parents take small kids and babies. My parents took me here when I was a child. I lived very close to here . Too bad I don’t go so often because it is very lovely. I am going to make it a point that I come here to write and read this year. (more…)

  • Video of Nautica Triathlon South Beach

Here is the video of the Nautica Triathlon in South Beach on Sunday.  I put together a video file of all the pictures I took. I had never seen the start of a triathlon, so I truly enjoyed watching this event even though I had the idea I was going to see a quiet sunrise. Instead it was a sunrise filled with thousands of people from 40 states and 11 countries. I read in the Miami Herald that Ana Kournikova and other celebrities also did the race.

The sunrise pictures turned out beautiful. Seeing all these people walking in unison towards the start at the race with the sunrise as a backdrop was a beautiful site. I am so glad I happened to go. Make sure to see on the video at 4 minutes 10 seconds, the woman coming to the finish line with an artificial leg. Wow!  It was so awesome, I got goosebumps when I saw her running towards the finish line.
