What happens when you are with someone who is wanting a relationship to fill a void vs. sharing because they are filled? How can you get to the point where you can be the latter? Is it possible? How can you know in the beginning of a relationship if it is the first – having someone to fill a void. I suppose that when you are doing the same(filling a void), then it would be hard to see. Do 2 voids fill up or better yet, how can 2 voids become filled?
Is it possible to even say that you are filled to the brim without a partner. I guess someone like mother Theresa, who dedicated her life to service to the work of God was continually filled, and therefore didn’t seek a partner in a relationship. Her relationship was to God. What about the 99.99% of us who do seek someone to be filled with. Isn’t it better to be filled first? Ultimately the only way to be filled inside of yourself is to seek to be filled with God – higher source, higher power, the source of your existence, who is endless, abundant and never ending. Then the abundance flows freely within you and the emptiness is no longer.
