It has been almost six moths since I came to the beach, my haven, my inspiration, one my top 10 ways to find peace.
I am publishing this via a WordPress app on my Droid. I am listening to the sound of the ocean waves as the wind rustles thru the palm trees.
While I do hear some construction noise in the background it doesn’t take precedence to this bliss.
What do you do to drown out the noise and find some peace?
I googled where the term “throw in the towel” came from. On Wiki answers it says: “…an image from the sport of boxing, to give up the struggle to quit the fight.” In Urban Dictionary it also says that it comes from boxing: “When a boxer is too beat up to continue, his coach throws a towel into the ring to signal that the fight is over.”
It also says here that it could be in origin of throwing up the white flag, which means surrender. I had been very busy laying much groundwork for two businesses, my REO business. It is still realty work, but different. And also I have been attempting to publish a new book. I am still not fully established in either business even though a lot of legwork has been done. When I decided to take the towel to the beach and relax, I ended up finding two new clients to work with.
I went this morning to see a beautiful sunrise with my son. Now I am home to make sure Sparky is OK. It has been almost one week since he went to the vet and the cast is still one. Amazing! Today is Easter and the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus. This morning before going to see the sunrise I went on the computer to find the meaning of resurrection and printed this out. I will attempt to go more in depth with this later because I have to go celebrate with my family. There are many definitions of Resurrection, some literal and some symbolic. (more…)
Since I officially declared myself on a vacation in my own town for one week, I am going to be like a tourist in Miami. Miami is a beautiful city with so much to enjoy. The weather is beautiful and the beaches gorgeous. I am lucky to live in such a great place.
