An Afternoon At The Beach Finally!

It has been almost six moths since I came to the beach, my haven, my inspiration, one my top 10 ways to find peace.
I am publishing this via a WordPress app on my Droid. I am listening to the sound of the ocean waves as the wind rustles thru the palm trees.
While I do hear some construction noise in the background it doesn’t take precedence to this bliss.
What do you do to drown out the noise and find some peace?

  • Time For R & R

This is the first time that I post directly from my Droid phone. I exerted much effort to get things done this past week including the weekend which is supposed to be for relax.

I woke up feeling very tired today with my back hurting and a cramp on my leg. I also stayed up until 1:30AM last night rendering some video files for my brothers site.

It has been cold, my butterfly garden is not flourishing and I haven’t been to the beach nor exercising as much or sat quietly to write. (All these things bring me inner peace)
So this morning I will tune of completely and do something which fills my heart which is writing. Just for a few hours.

I am in need for a restoration. What prompted me to even write this post was that I was doing a system restore on my laptop as I was setting up to write.

I have so much to do..but my body, mind and soul is telling me I must do this. Either way, I probably will catch up in the evening.

  • Inner Peace Prevails Although My Milkweed Died

milkweed diedI had to pull from the roots and throw out two of my  milkweed plants two weeks ago. They were infiltrated with a huge amount of bugs. The leaves were yellow and mucky and a mold was starting to form on the stems. In this past month, I haven’t taken much time to look at my milkweed. Normally I scruff them off with my hand when I see a slight infiltration. You can’t put pesticide on milkweeds because the caterpillars will die.

When I went out to look at them, there was no hope. I had to yank them off from the roots. I cut one of them down to the bottom near the roots. Hopefully, it can come back. If not, a new one can be planted and new growth will occur. (more…)

Blue & Pink Clouds I Took On My Way To My Guitar Class Recently

Today I was sorting out all my real estate files. I thought for a moment: “What a waste.” Meaning, a waste of having all this knowledge and finally putting it to rest. I know real estate deals are closing, but I had made a decision last year to attempt to work with the bank listings. It didn’t work out. So I started thinking of all the mistakes I made. “Why did I put so much effort on a fruitless endeavor?”, I thought to myself again.

But then the thought hit me that in all my efforts of gaining knowledge, my mind stayed active. I didn’t allow the challenges to let me down. Ok, I have had many let downs this year on the surface. But all those let downs made me stronger. For some reason, I lived them. My rational mind says it was a failure. But my gut says, it was part of the process of enduring and gaining so much more beneath the surface. (more…)
