I know I said I would post the next day, but hey, I am still on vacation. I have been good to myself by not pressuring myself to do anything in particular. I have allowed this week to go with the flow.
On Tuesday, I had an appointment with a third veternarian as a final attempt to heal Sparky’s wound. The official diagnosis is Acral Lick Granuloma. He had a small wound that became a very big wound about six inches long. As you can see from the picture on the left here, he is not too thrilled that I am going to leave him here all day.
It becomes a compulsive licking that they end up going to the bone. I have been very distressed about it and finally with the help of this veternarian, he put on a cast. It is a temporary cast to see if he will not chew it off. They are dermotological specialist. I am thankful that my brother referred me to them. (more…)

Since I am in this timeless mode, I woke up pretty late and had a slow start. I was reading in the paper that it was going to get chilly the next day. It was about 93 degrees and beautiful sunshine, so I figured I better go or else I might miss the opportunity. The problem was that I was already around 1:00PM and I had to get my son at the bus stop at 3:00PM. This would not have given me much time to relax at the beach. Here I was stressing and about to text my son to walk home.
I don’t understand how people advertise, “Lose 50 pounds in one day.” It would be like having a meltdown instead of having the pounds melt away. Imagine if that would really happen. One day you are used to seeing yourself in the mirror in a certain way and then suddenly, the next day you look like a different person. It is still you: your spirit and your soul. But the exterior, the physical has changed drastically in the period of 24 hours.
