I heard a story last night about a turtle that had wondered far from its terrritory and had found itself in a differnt place than what it was used to; and as I woke up early this morning and not able to go back to sleep I thought of this story and how this is a beautiful metaphor for how the journey to change is for us. The journey to move beyond the patterns of limitation that bind us to old familiar ways that although they do not serve our higher purpose anymore it somehow seems alot easier to stay hidden in the shell of the turtle, just in case it gets too scary out there. Time to Pause for Healing
I planted a butterly garden 9 months ago. This is my most recent Chryssalis that is about to become a butterfly in the next few days. This is the stage where it is ready to become a butterfly and after it was a catterpillar. The Heroes of Today
The recent news of the dramatic rescue of 15 hostages from the Colombian Farc to include the highly political figure of Ingrid Betancourt and 3 Americans has touched the minds and souls of every Colombian as well as many others that witnessed the news. As a native born Colombian I was drawn to the story of the day and felt compelled to hear every bit of news about this amazing feat. (more…)

Can You See The Signs?
I was talking to my friend who is a pharmaceutical rep on Sunday and I told her I had let go of the pain pills after two weeks from the surgery. She said that was a good sign that my ankle is healing. If I were to have some infection or the pain wouldn’t subside, then it would be a symptom of something else going on that would need to be looked at.How many times do we have warning signs of something being amiss in our lives and we simply don’t pay attention or get distracted because we don’t want to face our real pain. If you face the pain(face the reality), the pain might subside and eventually you will take a step in the right direction.
