    Lorenz Attractor Picture From Wikipedia

Usually, I put my mind to something and set out to accomplish a goal. I am good at writing things down and checking off my to do list as I move on. I try to maintain the vision of the bigger picture so I don’t get lost in a sea of endless details. In this whole blog, I talk about holding a vision while simultaneously restructuring and releasing  a crumbled past(a.ka. meltdowns!)

Holding the vision that has been etched in my mind(and in a ton of notes) is not difficult.  However,  feeling lost in my sea of doing & doing sometimes gives me an uneasy sense of being lost. Yet, the vision is very clear. The other key factors before embarking on a vision are there: risk, motivation, commitment, investment in time, willingness to learn, confidence in myself and my persistence to take action steps which hopefully will lead to concrete results. A Colorful Bag of Pebbles I Bought When I Saved A Turtle

In my post I few days ago, I used the analogy of dark matter to the substance of our potential. I am no scientist and have no expanded knowledge of dark matter. I do own some of Steven Hawkings books and have a fascination about the origins and workings of the Universe. But first, I have to be a mom and breadwinner.

That said, does it matter 😉 if I am not an expert? They’re just my thoughts. Besides, in the link that Chris Gram’s posted, he says that Steven Hawkings says that scientists won’t figure it out after they spend $4 billion dollars.

Now, let’s continue with my random thoughts  and analogy that dark matter is the substance of our potential. We, as human beings are continually creating. How can we grasp the creative force of the universe and mold it into a visible creation? My perception is in my colorful rocks – or pebbles. (more…)

  • Zebra Butterfly Getting Nectar

I love to wake up to the butterflies in my garden. Here is a zebra butterfly getting its nectar. Now I just need some sunshine at the beach to get revitalized and some exercise at the gym to rev me up. Then I’ll be ready to take on the week ahead.

Note 5:40PM: This is the first video I took with my Blackberry Storm. Therefore, the quality is not good. However, I emailed it directly to my new account at Posterous.com.  You can set up Posterous to auto post to You Tube and many other social media accounts including your blog.(Like the above post.) It is better for adding a blog post with a picture, like the prior one of my puppy Maya.

No beach day! Clouds and rainy. But I did work on my projects and exercised.

However, the link wasn’t as good as having the You Tube embedded. The good thing is that it was quick and easy. Here is the actual video:

  • Maya

Maya is my little companion and gift for my birthday a few months ago. Now she is 5 months old, a bit hyper. But when she gets calm she sits on my lap and lets me work.

  • Dark Matter & Caterpillars

sticky notes in shamblesToday, I was going to write a post about an observation I had in my butterfly garden. After I took some pictures, I scribbled some notes on a sticky pad. Just as I was going to sit and write this evening,  my puppy, Maya, had grabbed it from my desk.  She chewed  it up  and now laid on my sofa in shambles.

As I unraveled the paper, the ideas that came to my mind were more visible: cleaning the weeds, caterpillars are flexible, hanging upside down and another random note about  some colorful rocks that I saw the other day.sticky note unraveled

My work life has been kind of like that sticky paper. It got torn apart and now with new ideas, I am attempting to unravel it. Yet, there are some missing pieces. I can’t see how the whole picture will play out.

As I was observing the lump of paper next to Maya, I saw a tweet from @chrisbrogan linking this site called Dark Matter Matters.  I said to myself, “Forget about my sticky note.” As I was reading Chris Gram’s “About page”, I thought there could be a connection to my random thoughts and dark matter. • Time is My Friend Now

A Booth of A Vendor At Art Basel Miami Beach

My dermatologist brother didn’t hire me as a full time salaried employee. He hired me  for his social media projects. In essence, I am still an entrepreuner with my own consulting business. It is similar to my real estate business. I still have to handle my accounting, paperwork, management etc. The difference is that my per hour on the commission I receive in a real estate  deal is probably more.  If I spend two months on a deal and it falls apart, then the value of  my time has been worth negative. But as we all know, the greater the risk, the greater the reward.

If my brother had hired me full time, I probably wouldn’t have resurrected my personal projects now. I would have stayed focused  only on his work. My mind has been so exhausted these last two years of getting my footing. I welcomed the opportunity of a full time fixed job so I wouldn’t have to keep looking for other options.  But it didn’t happen that way. Maybe I am not even wired for a salaried position. (more…)
