  • Taking the Towel to the Beach

beach-and-laptop1You know the old saying, “I am throwing in the towel.”  Instead of doing this, I am going to take the towel to the beach this week. My son is on spring break and I also need a break very badly. I am exhausted by all the doing, doing, doing in these past six months to restructure my real estate business. I got inspired by the #iloveyou on facebook and twitter yesterday and it reminded me of a prayer day that my sister started last year.

She called it “Blanquita Day”.  It was the beginning of my financial and simultaneous health meltdown. I was talking to my friend, Gisele yesterday about the meaning of karma. What is good karma or bad karma.  Wikipedia’s definition  is:  Sanskrit for act, action, performance….concept of action or deed in Indian religions.

My interpretation in English is that karma is simply an action or choice. I would then deduct from this that good karma would be a good action/choice and bad karma would be bad action/choice. We all have made both. It is part of being human.  Hopefully, after learning from our experiences we can start to make better choices. (more…)

  • My Weakness is My Strength

img_0028The  severe car accident  made me stop in my tracks and  stopped me from walking for one year. It was a huge wake up call, which eventually led to reflecting a lot and spending time alone purposefully without a relationship with a man for the past 4 years.

The process to create a new foundation and to recreate my life was not an easy one. It took a lot of trust. It took a lot of faith. It took a lot of letting go, along with some aggravation, uncertainties and anxieties that popped up. But I persisted because the insights that I was getting in my heart were coming in much too strong. (more…)

  • Leap of Faith and Taking Baby Steps

baby-toddlerWhat if your destiny is nothing but taking small steps, led by a vision that you have initialized by a leap of faith in your hopes dreams and desires, and you are taken into a reality that becomes your destiny. For me, the word “destiny” or “fate” connotates sometimes something too big and therefore a sense of being unattainable.

I know that I have taken many steps towards a vision, but sometimes give up hope because the steps seem too much. t’s like stopping at 10,000 steps when the  10001 step was the critical one that takes a quantum turn which then catapults you to your destiny which seemed unfathomable in step 9,999.  It is that leap of faith as you hold on to your vision supported by a love so great from a higher power or God, that I imagine can lead me to what I thought at certain times unattainable.

I have many big hopes and dreams for a greater life for my son and myself- for a better life and for a vision I have of inspiring children. Maybe I am on step 4999. That trust in a higher power is my fuel to continue all the remaining steps. Little by little, step by step. You never know, maybe step 5001 is that quantum step, or it could be 10001. Who knows.

But it sure does feel better knowing that I WILL be at a destination – my destiny soon enough, as long as I continue taking those baby
    steps.

  • Who Do You Love More?

My son has asked me many times, “Who do you love more me or Sparky?” Sparky is our beautiful eight year old Labrador.  We’ve had him since he was a puppy.  Of course I always answered my son  that I love him more than Sparky even though I adore Sparky.  And then he would ask me a lot of times, “Who do you love more, me or you?”  And to which I would always reply,”Well, I got to love me first so that I can
    really love you.”  (more…)

  • Blanquita Day

Here is the link of my friend’s Blog that explains Blanquita Day and the text here:

Some of you may remember back in April when Blanca’s sister, Maria, declared Cinco de Mayo as “Blanquita Day.” She sent an email to that effect and Alina passed it on.

I am emailing you to let you know that Monday May 5 ( Cinco de Mayo) has been officially declared Blanquita day.We are going to Celebrate the Independence of Blanquita that day while others celebrate Mexico’s This is my idea. The power of thought and focused intention is a very powerful thing and many of us in Blanca’s life are very powerful beings both in body and spirit and love her very much.

As you know her ankle is not getting any better if anything worse and hurting on a daily basis. We need to manifest the surgery she needs within a year. We are researching as to being part of a study so she can get this done So here is what I am asking that you email this to all who know her of your friends as I will be doing from my end so that on May 5 we unite that day in unified thought to create an answer to her ankle so that by the day of her birthday June 26 she is gifted with the solution to this ankle with the right contact.

TOGETHER WE CAN DO THIS. AND SO SHALL IT BE!!!!!

    LOVE YOU.

Hello Love group, I have been in a dream this last week. In a few short words, the power of prayer was so potent that the next morning a podiatrist showed up at my sister in laws office for no particular reason, had new xrays, met the dr. On Thursday, he offered surgery for free(without me asking), will get a much better procedure here in Miami, and tomorrow I will know if the hospital charges are going to be paid 100%. Monday the prayers were sent out, and by Friday all this was done with NO effort!!!!!if I keep writing I will start crying again, so all I can say is thank you for your love and beautiful thoughts…I am almost speechless. I guess it will be a big chapter in the book.;-) happy mothers day to all of you. Even if you are not a mother, the fact that you were all my support even in the minutest way with just one thought, I can tell you it made a difference. So happy mother and woman’s day! Love Blanca I love you all!:-)

My son recorded this video on June 15, 2008, 10 days after my surgery. I talk about “Blanquita Day”:

  • Do 2 Voids Make a Whole?

What happens when you are with someone who is wanting a relationship to fill a void vs. sharing because they are filled? How can you get to the point where you  can be the latter? Is it possible? How can you know in the beginning of a relationship if it is the first – having someone to fill a void. I suppose that when you are doing the same(filling a void), then it would be hard to see. Do 2 voids fill up or better yet, how can 2 voids become filled? (more…)
