  • The Immense Picture


    I miss my blog. I have been up to my ears in details lately. I’m putting so much effort to get new clients and luckily my efforts have paid off. Just less than two months ago, I thought I was going to move and work in Commercial Real Estate Management again. (See post Follow Your Passion in April).  When that didn’t work out, I put all my attention to my Social Media Consulting business which I started to get off the ground last year.

    It was easy to focus on this again because it is something I enjoy doing. But to make it work like a real business requires stepping it up a notch, and that requires a ton of  detail. Presentations, brochures, new business cards (finally!), not to mention keeping up with all the new tools in Social Media. I am happy where I am now, although I wish I had more time to look at the big picture. On top of that in the midst of it all, I was still applying for jobs in case I found something better that would bring home better bacon. (more…)

  • Inspiration By J.K Rowling

    J.K Rowling talks to Harvard graduates about how she felt as a failure during her dark times as a single mom. Rock bottom was the foundation of how she lived her life. She says she had no idea how far the tunnel was and that the light at the end of the tunnel was just a hope. The rest as they say is history.

    This video gave me a burst of inspiration as she talks about using imagination. Listen to the whole thing as it is worth listening to.

    Happy Mother’s Day to everyone. It is a day to celebrate all the love that mother’s  give to a child.  So I hope every one’s day is full of joy. I was just listening to my son’s Ipod while working out and discovered this song by Fentura called “Live It”. The words are ” You have one life and heart, you have to just live it, live it.”  My son made me breakfast in bed and now we are going to celebrate with my mother and the rest of my family.

    It has been three days since Sparky died. Because I loved him so much and he took his last breath while I was hugging him, my heart has been at peace.  I have been happy to have had this beautiful pet as part of my life. He enriched my life in ways I never imagined. And now I can remember  those moments we shared. Dogs and pets can’t speak, but through their eyes, they say and give much. Great moments inspire us to live more passionately.

    I like this video because it reminds me of when I was young. It hasn’t been a Cinderella story for me. The road has been long and hard. But I would never trade the wisdom I have gained in all my experiences. Still, I do believe in good endings;-)
