Mosaic in Lobby of A Condo Called Mosaic In South Beach
Mosaic In Lobby of A Condo in South Beach Called Mosaic

It’s been just over 21 days since my last post bringing in the new year. They say it takes 21 days to develop a new habit. Luckily, I have the habit of eating well and exercising, so I didn’t have to put those on my resolution list.

For me, it is now creating a structure and more order with all the new opportunities that have opened up for me. It’s continuing to put together the pieces of the puzzle like the picture of the mosaic in this post.Hopefully, one day it will all of sudden take shape. I trust it now much more. (more…)

  • A Twist And A Turn

P1290448Life is really funny. I had written the prior post on Sunday and scheduled it for the following day, which was yesterday. I’m glad I did because yesterday turned out to be a very stressful day. To make a long story short, my real estate deal fell apart. The appraisal came in a lot lower than expected.  When I look back at the post, Balance is Peace Love and Happiness, I ponder on my own words:

The point is: Does it really matter when you achieve the success if the whole trip to the destination was a smooth ride filled with peace, love and happiness?

So now I am back to scraping when I thought I would be breathing easier with a cushion. Honestly, I don’t know how I would handle all this if I didn’t have my quiet time to write, like I am doing now. Because  I am using this blog as a tool for my creative expression, it is helping me to move through all the unexpected jabs in a smoother way. And yes, while I am disappointed from all my efforts, it gives me more reason to see that doing this kind of work is not  the best place for me to be at the moment. New doors have opened for me and I have to stay where it flows.

Pipevine Flower In My Butterfly Garden – Looks Like An Upside Down Heart

I had  a quiet day today at home. The only thing I did was hang out with my son in the morning and go to the gym(and pulled a muscle on my lower back!). It was a beautiful sunny day and normally on a Sunday, I would probably go to the beach. Instead, I simply read a book and took a nice long nap. There is always the pull of spending time for my dreams – writing my book and editing more chapters. Instead it was a day of not thinking, just being.

I was looking at some of the videos I did a year ago during my meltdown. I was ever so optimistic of working as a realtor in the foreclosure business. Now I don’t want to even think of the word. At that time, I thought it was the best niche in the real estate business to make solid income. Good thing,  I continued plan B at night – my projects. (more…)

Building in Downtown Miami Under Construction
Building in Downtown Miami Under Construction

I  finally spent a few hours getting my social media consulting site set up last night (blancastella.com). In the past week, I have been ultra left brain focused on getting all my accounting in order, which includes doing my bank reconciliations to the penny on computer software. When I do that, my brain somehow feels happier and organized. It is great to be creative, but  creativity without order is not good.

What happens to me  when I get in this ultra organized mode, I go into this zone, completely focus and tune out from distractions.  I  hardly twittered or looked at Facebook and no tweet-ups. (The South Florida tech community has constant tweet-ups.) (more…)

Purple Flowers I Took At Butterfly World In April

I was recently sharing my work/projects updates about my new potential prospects for my Social Media work with one of my best friends.  We are very similar in our analytical approach to getting things done.

Because of my willingness and self motivation to invest many hours in learning all of this, I am reaping the rewards of this time and effort by creating a new way to make income. I believe the best motivation comes from being inspired. (more…)

Coral Rock Stairs At Matheson Hammock Beach in Coral Gables

I’ve worked so hard in these past two years to maintain my sanity during all the chaos in my life. With a clear mind, open heart and new connections that I have made, I finally feel today that a breakthrough is happening.

At many many networking events and tweetups, I ask people whose business  also  has slowed to a crawl,  how they managed the chaos. Usually the answer  I get is being in nature and faith.

I have shared in the last year on this blog where my peace has come from. It has been a long road.  Yet, I know  I will look back sometime in the future to this time and realize that this time gave me amazing lessons. Humility is the main one. (more…)
